In December, we successfully moved all our Sunday Masses to Saint James as part of our effort to "Unite in Prayer" in order to discern our future together.
As a part of our second rallying cry, "Get Organized," we sucessfully started and scheduled monthly coffee and donuts after masses to help build community.
The sense of energy and excitement on Sunday is palpable as we fill the church over and over every weekend and gather to share life and faith with one another.
Nevertheless, coming together has brought about a number of stressors, and I'd like to address one of those in particular. This past weekend, I encouraged all the morning Masses to consider participating in a "Pay It Forward Parking" program. What's "Pay It Forward Parking?" I'm encouraging everyone on the weekend to first try to park in our auxiliary parking lot at the clinic at 1025 Regent St.using the lot next to the church for those who are less mobile for any reason or for those who are visiting and don't know about our auxiliary lot. If you know where the auxiliary lot is (linked above), you are mobile, and arrive at least five minutes early for Mass, please consider making the sacrifice of parking in the auxiliary lot. I plan see you there!
