Exciting progress is underway as we prepare to revitalize the roof of Saint James! Allow me to share some encouraging updates and plans for the future regarding the repairs at our cherished church.

Back in April 2023, before my arrival, fruitful discussions with the capital campaign committee led to a unanimous decision to proceed with repairing the Saint James roof. Although our initial proposal from Vogel Brothers, our trusted general contractor, encountered some hurdles with subcontractor bids, we remained optimistic. Encouraging Vogel Brothers to explore additional bids yielded positive results, with a revised proposal meeting our expectations. Eager to move forward, we swiftly signed the agreement, paving the way for the anticipated work this spring of 2024.

As the season of renewal unfolds in spring 2024, the commencement of work is upon us, set to begin this month of May. Expect to see scaffolding gracefully adorning our church, a tangible sign of progress and restoration. Rest assured, this construction activity will not disrupt the vibrant life within our church or school. Your safety remains our top priority, and every measure has been taken to ensure seamless access to our facilities. Weekday operations will continue without interruption, preserving the sanctity of our Sunday masses.
