I was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. After graduating from high school, I moved to South Bend, Indiana to attend Saint Mary’s College, near the University of Notre Dame. I majored in Elementary Education and couldn’t wait to graduate to start teaching. I taught preschool for two years in South Bend before moving to Madison.
I have worked in the Diocese of Madison for 11 years. I began my career at St. Joseph Catholic School in Baraboo, where I taught 5th grade for two years, helped reestablish their middle school, switched to teaching Technology, and finally became Lead Teacher and then Associate Principal. During my time at St. Joe’s, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Marian University as well as my administration license through St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. For the last 3 years, I have been Assistant Principal at Queen of Peace School in Madison.
I am married to a wonderful man, Tim, who works for TDS Telecom. We have two kids, a daughter and a son. My daughter is 12 years old. She loves to play soccer (she’s the goalie for her team) and draw. My son is 6 years old. He loves to read, draw, play outside, and snuggle. They both attend St. Dennis School on the Eastside of Madison. We also have a dog named Bella that we all just adore. My favorite color is green. I love eating pasta, especially spaghetti, and I LOVE drinking coffee. I am so excited to be joining the St. James School team and I look forward to meeting all the students and families.
